If you love cars, and you know we do at WFO Radio, you have been anticipating the new 2015 C7 Corvette. It is a new interpretation of the American Sports Car we have come to know. There are several words that may be used to describe this new Vette, “striking” and “extreme” are two of them. In the time we had to enjoy these machines in beautiful Miami Beach, Florida, we were able to get up close and personal with this all new American Icon. The new C7 was a head turner on Ocean Drive. In fact, at one moment the driver of rented Ferrari, stopped and asked, “What kind of car we were rolling?”, since most the heads were turning our way. It makes sense, the new C7 definitely has some Italian flair.
Our high speed experience up and back I-395 was an eye opener. As the driver, the unbelievably smooth ride, and intense power stood out. Shocking fact: This was the base model.
In the end, the new C7 is a 500 foot Mickey Mantle home run for Chevy, GM, and America. Corvette fans can be proud, and with a new Z06 right around the corner, it’s time to reimagine what is possible for this America Icon.
